Song: Upgrade You (from Da Drought 3 Mixtape)
Artist: Lil' Wayne
So I was watching the Atlanta Hawks vs Miami Heat game when I was trying to study for a history test. First of all, let me tell you that it is impossible to study for a test when you are trying to watch basketball. One reason for this is because I can't quit staring at people like D Wade, Beasley, Bibby and Johnson...just to name a few. Then I got pissed as shit when they decided to give D Wade a technical for something that he didn't even do...this dude on the Hawks started shit with him after D Wade went for a lay up...they almost got into it but the officials broke it up. Secondly, D Wade is trying to block some dude's shot and they both fall on the ground under the goal. How in in the hell can they give D Wade a flagrant foul for trying to block a shot? D Wade has had over 100 blocks this season and knows what the hell he is doing....why would he intentionally foul someone like 3 mintues after getting a technical? Basically, I havent' hardly studied for this damn test because I've so pissed off at this game. Now, I want to know why Dwight Howard is suspended for game 6? I have no idea what he did, but I'm pretty sure that I watched the last Magic/76'ers game and didn't see shit? Or maybe I'm crazy. Third, as much as I love the Celtics, how the hell did Rondo not get a flagrant foul for basically hitting that guy in the mouth last night? Dude's mouth was bleeding and everything...that was one of the most intense games of my life, aside from the other games they have played against the Bulls this entire playoff series. I saw some hightlights for the tnt commerical where will amazing happen and I saw Lil Wayne in the crowd on one of the commericals...I want to know what game he went to see? Being that he is from New Orleans, I would guess that he was at the Hornets/Nuggets game. Speaking of Nuggets, Chris Andersen is the craziest looking white guy in the NBA. Didn't he go to jail for drugs or something? I don't understand why I care so much about basketball, but I am literally in love with the NBA. There are so many different players on different teams that I like, it's difficult for me to pick a certain team...but I have to go with the Celtics. I can guarantee you that I'm not on the LakeShow (LameShow is what I like to call it) bandwaggon. Kobe is good, but have they not seen Bron Bron? He is by far the best player in the NBA. I love him. And I love Mo Williams. And Delante West. I love the Cavs basically. They are my second favorite team aside from the Celtics. I absolutely hate the Kevin Garnett isn't able to help the Celtics in the playoffs because of his injury, but I love the fact that he's dressed in a suit on the bench cussing at his teammates to motivate them. The first game of the series, you could clearly see him mouthing mother fucker...ever since then, I've notcied that they have limited the camera time that KG gets...I find it funny that even though the Big Ticket isn't even playing, he can still manage to get attention from the media.

Essay 4
I originally anticipated doing the Family essay, but I've decided to do the Spirtual Quest. I feel like I've been through so many things in my life that it would benefit me to write about it.

9/11
September 11th is an extremely vivid memory for me. I was in 11th grade at the time. I was in school at Kickapoo High School in Springfield Missouri. I remember that I was taking an Algebra 2 test and our principal walked in. I was sitting relatively close to the classroom door and overheard our principal tell my teacher there was some sort of attack in New York. At the time, I was trying to focus on my test, but I couldn't shake the thoughts of what could have possibly happend.
Once my test was over, I had to go to my Speech class. Ironically, that year in Debate our topic was about weapons of mass destruction. When I got to my speech class, all we did was watch the news. I remember seeing the second tower fall and my entire body went numb. I didn't personally know any of the people who's lives were taken that day, but I can only imagine how those people felt. It was a horrible school day. My dad texted me and told me that I better go fill my gas tank up because gas prices were going to sky-rocket. This instilled an indescribable fear in me, because I didn't realize that something like that could affect our situation in Missouri. That was quite the reality check for me, and quite honestly, it terrified me.
I don't think that I will ever forget where I was and what I was doing on that day. I may not be able to remember the exact specifics, but I will always have that engrained in my memory.
